The March 2002
Rally was on the 10th., yet again the only date that suited both us and
our hosts was Mother's Day! We met at Badgeworth Arena, a new venue for
us but one we will certainly look to return to. after a welcome cuppa
courtesy of the new owners - the Vospers and Barnetts, who are members of
the club - our small band moved off on an eight mile route around the
levels almost across to Mark.
The weather was far
from kind to us, starting out cold with rain joining in when we were about
as far from the start as anywhere on the route, but we soldiered on
regardless. As so often the low speed compared to a car let us see some
sights we might otherwise have missed, in this case a Section A in a field
with some lovely "ear muffs" on and a swan most unusually taking off from
a field.

I t was dry near
the start but by the time we were on the way back the rain had started -
sorry Merv for the raindrop hiding you and Toffee in the righthand photo.
On our return we were treated to
mulled wine and burgers and chips, very welcome even by those who had gone
round by car !! Our thanks are due to our generous hosts, the Vospers and
Barnetts, who made us very welcome.
