Due to other
commitments Colin Henderson wasn’t able to be with us this year, but he
had given details of a route to Bryan and Di Clarke who lead the way
round. We had four turnouts out with us for a lovely drive, for once the weather was reasonably kind to us, it is so much nicer when you aren’t huddled up trying to keep dry! Our route took us round the edges of the Badminton Estate before we stopped for a lunch break in the lovely village of Sherston. It is a beautiful part of the country around there, and as an added interest there are lots of horses, mostly hunters, in fields who find our passage of great interest coming over to have a look as we go by.
As ever the rally was as much a social occasion, the lunch break giving everyone a chance to catch up on what the others had been doing with their horses and ponies as well as talking about the ones we’d seen on the way Steve Huddy |
